WHAT IS IT?
Who’s Feeling a Roadtrip?
Unlock the funding, resources, and connections your rural business needs to scale. The Startup Colorado Roadtrip offers free, hands-on programming to help founders discover capital opportunities, master essential business skills, and connect directly with statewide lenders and leaders. Gain the financial tools and support you need to thrive in your local community.
Capital Bootcamp Series
Access to capital can make the difference between a business that is surviving and one that is thriving. Half the battle is knowing about the funding opportunities that are available, the other half is putting together a strong application. We’re here to help with both.
In this 5-week bootcamp, Colorado business owners will receive an overview of the state funding programs that exist AND the technical assistance to complete their application. Participants can expect to walk away with tangible assets, including help with application completion, pitch deck completion, financial document preparation, and more.
Participants can drop-in for a single session that they specifically need help on, or attend all 5-weeks and receive a “Capital Ready” certification along with all the tools needed to complete their application. The certification acts as a strong signal to lenders participating in the program that they are reviewing a strong application. In addition to the one-hour weekly sessions, office hours available for 1-1 support.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
What’s under the hood?
Back in 2017, we got behind the wheel and logged thousands of miles across the state to build grassroots partnerships with Rural Colorado’s movers and shakers. That spirit of “showing up” remains at the heart of our Roadtrip series. In collaboration with the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT), we’re offering both in-person and online events to rural entrepreneurs throughout the year.
While Colorado is becoming a top ecosystem for rural entrepreneurship, challenges remain. Early-stage companies still face hurdles that hinder their ability to scale, like limited access to capital, technical expertise, mentorship, and infrastructure. Geographic isolation and sparse ecosystem support only exacerbate these issues, leaving promising ventures stuck.
By building ecosystems and fostering regional collaboration, Startup Colorado elevates the quality and accessibility of local resources. Ultimately, the Roadtrip allows rural communities to plug directly into Colorado’s growing reputation as a thriving startup hub.
