Each month, the Rural Women in Entrepreneurship group inside the Startup Colorado Community comes together for a virtual hour of connection. August’s co-host will be LaPrell Boston, Certification Specialist for WBEC-West.
This hour is casual, fun, and easy to drop into. We talk about what we’re currently working on, share our stories, and pool our resources to help each other get to that ‘next step’ on the long entrepreneurial road ahead.
The format is simple:
- 15–20 minute presentation from our co-host on WBEC-West and the Colorado State Certification Scholarship currently available to women business owners
- Rounds of 1:1 connections with other community members
- Come and meet fellow women entrepreneurs from all over the state to discuss current topics and trends in business
Free and open to all Colorado women working in business and business support.

LaPrell is a dedicated Certification Specialist for WBEC-WEST, motivational coach, and entrepreneur with a bachelor’s degree in business and a diverse professional background that includes certification, project management, and entrepreneurship. She lives in Colorado Springs. In her professional life, she is passionate about supporting women-owned businesses, helping women navigate opportunities for growth, and encouraging others to recognize their potential and confidently pursue their goals.
