Rural Women in Entrepreneurship (RWE) Retreat | October 30–November 1, 2026 Steel Horse | Villa Grove, Colorado
The RWE Retreat is a small, in-person gathering for women who are building, leading, creating, and supporting businesses in Colorado. Hosted by Startup Colorado and held at Steel Horse, a privately owned mountain-view property on 17.5 peaceful acres about 35 minutes south of Salida, this weekend is designed for rest, reflection, and the kind of real conversation that’s hard to squeeze into a monthly Zoom call.
We’re keeping it intimate: 16 to 20 women over three days, with a schedule that’s spacious on purpose. The weekend runs from first connections and dinner on Friday evening, through a full day of gathering and shared meals on Saturday, and closing Sunday morning with a communal soak at Joyful Journeys Hot Springs.
Just before the holiday season kicks in, let’s take a moment to look back at your year in business, release the projects that didn’t happen, and plant seeds for what’s next. The agenda will be shaped by the women who attend. This is valuable time for human connection, off our screens.
