Each month, the Rural Women in Entrepreneurship group inside the Startup Colorado Community gathers to have a virtual networking conversation. This hour is casual, fun, and easy to drop into. We talk about what we’re currently working on, share our stories, and pool our resources to help each other get to that ‘next step’ on the long entrepreneurial road ahead.
The format is simple:
- 15–20 minute talk from Julie Stiewig on her entrepreneurial journey + seasonal self-reflection exercise
- Rounds of 1:1 connections with other community members
- Come and meet fellow women entrepreneurs from all over the state to discuss current topics and trends in business
About our co-host:
Julie Stiewig brings a range of experiences to her work, rooted in her background in food systems, land management, agriculture, outdoor education, and community building. Now based in Weldona, Julie and her partner operate Two Drifters Farm, where they grow vegetables, cut flowers, and care for honeybees, ducks, geese, and Black Angus cattle. Since 2021, she has also served as the manager of The Block: Commissary Kitchen & Events in Fort Morgan, where she empowers local entrepreneurs and fosters a strong sense of community through food and small business support. She also co-hosts Food Truck Fridays, founded the Fort Morgan Farmers Market at The Block, and contributes her time to the Food Coalition of Morgan County and the Morgan County Waste Coalition.
Free and open to all Colorado women working in business and business support.
