For many of us, the sudden upheaval of daily life is unprecedented. It can be confusing and even scary. But the most important thing to keep in mind, is that Coloradans – especially us entrepreneurs – are creative, resilient, and tenacious. We will get through this if we work together as a community (albeit, a virtual, socially distanced one) to help one another through this uncertain time.
At Startup Colorado, we are working to provide clarity about the resources and opportunities available to entrepreneurs and small businesses who are affected by unforeseen challenges. Because the news is rapidly changing day to day, we will be coordinating with our partners at the state and local level to disseminate information on resources and programs that will best serve you.
We know that many of you have pressing questions, so we will be updating you every 48-72 hours via email with the most recent information available. Follow us on social media for up to date information from around the state.
If you’re driven to action, there are plenty of ways you can support each other and your local businesses. Consider buying a gift certificate at your favorite restaurant to use at a later date. Look for local retailers offering curbside delivery before shopping online. And show your support for your favorite entrepreneurs on social media by writing reviews and sharing their pages with your friends.
Until then, let us not get lost in fear and uncertainty. Let it instead fuel us forward. We are entrepreneurs and we thrive in catalyzing change and solving problems. What little ritual can we start to enhance our everyday? What little change can we start and share forward with the world? Let us know what you’re up to: what unique measures are you implementing for you, your business, and your team?
