SUMMARY:Lean Coffee
DESCRIPTION:Join the Startup Colorado Community for our quarterly Lean Coffee online series (register here)—an interactive networking discussion that’s tailored to entrepreneurs from all industries. Each quarter\, we are featuring a co-host from the either the founder or funder world. These founders or funders will kick things off by explaining their niche\, how they got to where they are today\, and answering your questions in real time. \nThis month\, we’ll be joined by Morgan Moutrie\, founder of Colorado Smell Goods Morgan is a Leadville-based entrepreneur and new mom who traded her professional camera for candle pours in 2022. Since launching Colorado Smell Goods\, she’s navigated the “messy” learning curve of scaling a product brand through wholesale\, digital marketing\, and a lot of trial and error. \nComing from a photography background\, Morgan realized early on that while a service-based founder is the business\, a product needs a soul of its own to connect with people when the maker isn’t in the room. By narrowing her focus and becoming a “master of one” first\, she’s built an elevated brand identity that stands out. Morgan is a firm believer that your mission and core values aren’t just fluff—they are the North Star that helps you make every strategic decision with confidence. \nThe format of Lean Coffee is simple: \n\n20-minute workshop from our co-host\n10 minutes for Q/A so you can get feedback\nBreakout Room with other community members to connect and share ideas\nYou suggest the topics\, and we’ll cover a couple of impromptu business subjects (AI\, Digital Marketing\, you name it!)\n\nWhether you’re seeking advice\, or just eager to connect with fellow entrepreneurs across the state\, Lean Coffee is the perfect place to engage\, learn\, and grow. Join us to meet like-minded founders and tackle the topics that matter most to your business. \nPlease register through Zoom: linked here.

Her work blends science\, contracting\, and ecological design and reflects her passion for building innovative\, mission-driven businesses in traditionally male-dominated industries. Her background is in Environmental Engineering and this is her second company. \nPlease register through Zoom: linked here\, or through the ‘register’ button at the top of the page.

SUMMARY:Telluride Venture Network 2026 Strategy & Growth Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:Program description:\nMost business owners underinvest in strategy.  They know they can grow the business further\, but aren’t sure which direction is best\, given all the options. Days are busy\, but it’s hard to know if you’ve spent your time doing the most important things. \nThe TVN’s Strategy & Growth Bootcamp is designed to help leaders acquire the tools to evaluate their business strategy with help from experienced mentors and fellow small business owners\, and to focus on actionable steps to help their businesses before making a plan for how best to move forward.\n \nTVN’s Strategy & Growth Bootcamp is ideal for any Colorado-based company with a product or a service in-market (i.e.\, generating revenue). While there are a million areas a leader can focus on\, only a few will propel their business forward. Founders will learn to step back to see the bigger picture\, then zoom in with clarity to establish the best course of action. Additionally\, we’ll explore how to create a daily\, weekly\, monthly\, and quarterly cadence for your company. On the growth side\, founders will identify new and adjacent product or service ideas to develop a roadmap. Concrete ideas will be introduced for growing existing customers and prospecting for new ones. Other tools presented include how to financially support your company’s growth\, how to create inspirational but attainable and measurable goals\, and how to build a learning culture. Finally\, the Bootcamp features opportunities to meet and be inspired by successful founders who will share their unfiltered behind-the-scenes stories from their journey. \nProgram design:\n\nThis is a two-week hybrid program for Colorado companies. The first week (February 23 – February 27) will be fully remote\, and the second week (March 2 – 6) will be in-person in Telluride. Each day will include a 90-minute morning session (9:30am-11:00am MST) and 90 minutes of Q&A\, discussion\, or office hours in the afternoon session (1pm-2:30pm MST)\, leaving plenty of time to get other work done during the day.\nApplications are accepted on a rolling basis through January 23\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCompany participation fee:\nThe TVN does not take equity. The fee is $1\,500 per company for founders who require housing\, $750 for those who do not. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGeographic prioritization\nThe program is available to any Colorado company\, though priority will be given to Western Slope-based companies.

SUMMARY:Rural Women in Entrepreneurship
DESCRIPTION:Each month\, the Rural Women in Entrepreneurship group inside the Startup Colorado Community comes together for a virtual hour of connection. January’s meetup will be co-hosted by Cory Warden\, founder of Legacy Lab App. \nEach month\, the Rural Women in Entrepreneurship group inside the Startup Colorado Community gathers to have a virtual networking conversation. This hour is casual\, fun\, and easy to drop into. We talk about what we’re currently working on\, share our stories\, and pool our resources to help each other get to that ‘next step’ on the long entrepreneurial road ahead. \nThe format is simple:  \n\n15–20 minute talk from our co-host\nRounds of 1:1 connections with other community members\nCome and meet fellow women entrepreneurs from all over the state to discuss current topics and trends in business\n\nAbout our co-host: \nCory Warden is the founder of Legacy Lab App\, the Estate Organizer. Like many people\, Cory didn’t fully understand how critical it is to have a clear legacy plan in place until her mom passed away and she suddenly found herself responsible for settling the estate. That experience opened her eyes to how overwhelming and painful the process can be without essential information organized and accessible. \nToday\, Cory’s mission is to educate the two-thirds of adults who don’t have a will and encourage them not to wait for a crisis to get prepared. She created the Legacy Lab App to make that preparation easier: a secure\, user-friendly tool that helps individuals organize important documents\, decisions\, and wishes in one place. When the time comes\, the right people can access what they need so loved ones can act with clarity\, confidence\, and peace of mind. \nFree and open to all Colorado women working in business and business support. \nPlease register through Zoom: linked here\, or through the ‘register’ button at the top of the page.
